Welcome, recruit! If you’re reading this, you’ve been chosen to help map the unknown and secure the future of Mirabilis. Before you set foot out of Laagehoven, please review this guide to understand how our shared world operates.
Getting Started
To begin your journey, you can create a character under the Character Tab. However, before you start crunching numbers, it is mandatory that you read the Character Creation Guidelines. This ensures your character fits the setting and is prepared for the specific survival challenges of the frontier.
Finding Adventure
The Myth & Marrow is a player-driven organization. There are two ways to get into a game:
- Sign Up: Browse the list of existing scheduled sessions and join an open slot.
- Propose a Quest: If you see a job posting on the Discord Quest Board that interests you, reach out to other players and a GM to schedule a session. Note: Please ensure you schedule games in advance. GMs need time to prepare the adventure. Nothing should be last-minute.
XP, Gold, and Progress
We use XP Leveling to track your growth.
- The Website is Law: All Gold and XP will be handed out through the website after a session. While you are free to sync this data to your personal character sheet, the website’s record is the final authority in case of discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: You are solely responsible for tracking the items in your inventory. If you lose track of an item, the guild cannot replace it!
- Recaps: Because we share a world, an adventure recap is expected after every session. Players are highly encouraged to take on this responsibility to help the GMs and other guild members stay informed about what has changed in the wilds.
Homebrew Rules
We have custom homebrew rules that diverge from D&D 5e 2024 rules as written. You can see them on our Homebrew Rules document.
