Large beast, metal, kill. Beast down Mila, I help. Shoot, magic, I, other, kill beast.
Job, not... important? Not understand. Still, I help.
We found a family, ripped to shreds... It was not the best sight to see in the morning; I will not lie. We decided to follow those tracks, and after a while, we found roboticized dogs. They were tough, took a bit to take them down after about half a minute though. Examining them further, it seemed that the gear was somehow grafted onto them... It truly did pain me to see a living creature suffering. They are alive Afterall, I learned that after we encountered the Ravens that had similar constructs grafted onto them...
Later, we found some poachers that were killing them and selling the parts to someone. I will have to talk to that man soon. They then heard a scream and ran off, and we followed. Turns out, a bear that had mechanically turned into one of those beasts killed him. We defeated the bear, got some leads, and headed back home. When I find the man responsible for this, I will show him no mercy and accept no surrender.
The brother of a farmer, whose giant gesse we saved the other day, has stumbled upon his nighbours having been brutally murdered. The brothers informed local priest, who contacted the Syndicate. We investigated the crime scene and discovered the family was slain by some sort of animals with metalic parts. We followed the tracks of these creatures and discovered they're some strange dogs with mechanical parts engraved into them. Disposing of them, which was not easy when they can cast fireballs, we followed the lead further, having to withstand an ambush, now from similiarly biomechanical crows. And once we dealt with that, the trail lead us to a cabin of two people, who turned out to be poachers. Moreover, they seemed to be hunting these creatures and stripping them off parts, sending them somewhere. Before we could confront them, their third partner was attacked and mauled by a biomechanical bear. Out of all battles that one was by far the hardest, almost devastating our group. I personally almost died. Thankfully, we pervailed in the end, thanks to good teamwork. The poachers told us who was paying them for the biomechanical parts, giving us a future lead. This is far from over.
This was the beginning of something far more sinister than I would have ever anticipated it being...
We were called by a group of farmers to investigate the murder of a family. Looking around the house, it was clear that a massacre of some kind had occurred, though the reason for this assault was ultimately unclear. Nothing was stolen, or broken, or anything of the like. Just... death. Wuyon'e, Mila, Azrael, Vernal, and myself took off after the tracks..
What we came across were a pack of vicious dogs that seemed mechanically altered. Shooting harpoons, breathing fire... They seemed intent to kill all of us. It was strange, though... where did these things come from? Then, further on, there were crows that seemed as though they had arcane eyes, acting as sentries for someone else... I gathered a few of these creatures to examine later.
Then, we came across some hunters in the woods. I thought they might have something to do with it, but it seemed like they were collecting these parts and wanted to get rid of them, as well. We followed them to where their friend had run off to, only to find a bear, altered with the same upgrades that turned it into a violent, flame adorned beast. After taking it out, i took its head for further study........
This must run quite deep..
