Towards the walls of this district, most buildings have been rebuilt in recent years. This follows an announcement of a focused effort to rebuild the district entirely after a series of haphazard repairs post-war. This left the district particularly vulnreble to environmental hazards, causing more problems over time than if the buildings had been torn down and rebuilt.

Further towards the centre, many buildings linger in a state between disrepair and newly upgraded. A lot of older, larger buildings have been converted into apartments. Each floor or wing of larger homes are split into different residencies and rented out to the lower-middle class of the city.
