Born into a family of talented musicians, he of course became one himself from the very start of his life; he bonded with his first flute at the age of 2. However, it was not a straight path to success, as Fuji often found himself competing with his five equally talented brothers and sisters, for their father's love and approval, something that had to be earned through perfection and greatness. As such, Fuji would find himself spending his youth doing nothing but practicing, practicing, and practicing his instruments.
Whilst snubbing other genres, his family was fully devoted to classical music; they lead an orchestral band that was passed down generations. However, classical music was a genre that required you to strictly adhere to the composers vision, which didn't align well with Fuji, and he eventually grew tired of it. He felt like a soulless machine mindlessly following instructions over and over.
