Once a promising hunter under the tutelage of the Insanis household, Venari was trained by the Great Hunter Genevieve in the ways of tracking and killing creatures of great stature. He was an aspiring hunter of the big game until approached by pure white cat-like creature who offered him a method to avenge his village which was scorched by wizards intending to seek knowledge of the Shadowfell.

He obtained what is known to him as the Kyubey’s Prescripts: a set of forbidden teachings that promised sharper instinct, perfect calculation, at the cost of his autonomy. At first, he believed he could master these doctrines without being consumed by them, applying them with the teachings of the Insanis household, but he soon came to realise the application of his master's teachings upon the prescripts yielded devastating effects.

When he finally understood what he had become, he had already forgotten about most of the important memories he had in life, becoming more like a soulless machine than that of a person. In shame, he covered his face beneath a cloak and vowed never again to indulge in the Prescripts. Now, he lives as a wandering ranger, forever in search of what he has lost, forever holding his urge to succumb to the Prescripts once more....
