Born, abandoned and adopted into the Gauntlet Sprawl. Connal is the youngest (still living) gautlet runner. Growing up in the fighting pits, he acquired a grim trait through mishandling and abuse - seeing the world for what it is and fully knowing what fate his upbringing is pushing him towards. Worst of all, lacking equipment like weapons or armor. Despite this, Connal kept on fighting since his first deployment to the bowels of Bazagon.

Reemergeing, Connal went on a spree of every challenge the city threw at him. Until he encoutered a near defeat in the pits of Ka, his mind usurped and reputation tarnished. He returned a few days later alone, unable to stand that moment of personal failing and wishing to fight through the suicidal task. Many eyes were upon him as the sole contender and while pondering in the face of death, clarity came trough to him alongside the members of Obscura Maskareta.

The thing he was fighting was the city. Even when he left it, he was still it's slave and until he beats it, he shall never be truly free.
