Born of the Woolamboola, Flussi came into existence fully formed just 12 years ago and growing to her full height within two years. She knew little of the ways of humans indigenous to Marapana and less still of non-Marapani ways. She does not know why her elemental form was granted sapience, only that the ability to move beyond the water is a gift of her maker, and that she will not squander it when so much of the water in the world is bound to lie flat upon sea, lake, and river beds.
Attempting to paint Flussi in a fixed form is like trying to carve a date into a waterfall. Ever-shifting, her fluid form is that of water in a glass pitcher, her skin translucent like that of a grape. While her form approximates that of a human woman or sea elf, she has no nose to speak of.
She felt an affinity to Wandjina the Water even before she had a name for the deity. The boat taking her from Marapana was essentially only a ferry for her small collection of belongings, for she is as pure as childhood and as free as rain. Her perennial companion Miktel, a saltwater jelly, floats within her body. Miktel understands Aquan but can’t speak.
She traveled first to the Scrub Wastes, where she learned of others of her kind in Bazagon. Next she traveled to Bazagon and entered the Elemental Paths Gauntlet. The experience of having to fight to survive among such strange and violent creatures has had a profound impact on the once naive child, twisting her.
