Polka hails from Nepurna and is the last surviving member of a twig of House Kuolema, which itself is a branch of Clan Duhloun. His father made some sort of deal with the spirits of Saarivelkea and is supposedly the only reason she survived whatever curse befell the family. She was given to a Monastery of the Veri Via where she grew close to the gods but even closer to the Light. She's a firm believer that even the gods serve something greater than themselves for there was light before the god of Light thus 'He' must only be his closest servant and not Light itself, the Thing which embodies the good of the world.
