The Trading Post
The Breakwater Trading Post is a ramshackle general store built on half-sunken elven docks, selling rations, rope, tools, charts, salvage gear, and unreliable ark-aether devices. If you need it to survive inland, it’s probably here, at a price. It’s run by Skazzik One-Ear, a sharp-eyed goblin with a gold-capped tusk and a memory for debts. He sells supplies, licenses, and rumors with the same grin and never forgets who comes back alive.
Brakk's Shoreforge
Brakk’s Shoreforge sits at the edge of the Breakwater, just beyond the main docks, a squat, smoke-choked stone shed hammered together from scrap and ballast rock. The forge is cramped, hot, and perpetually hazy with coal smoke and oil. It’s run by Brakk Ironmuck, a half-dwarf, half-goblin mule with uneven tusks and a patchy beard. An outsider even here, Brakk keeps to himself, reforging salvaged armor into brutal, reliable gear and letting the work speak where he won’t.
Blackwake Blades
Blackwake Blades is a narrow timber-and-iron weapons shop near the edge of the Breakwater, far enough from the docks to avoid questions. It smells of oil, salt, and old blood. The walls are lined with scarred swords, axes, and shipboard weapons, most are clearly second hand. It’s run by Karrik Blackwake, a retired hobgoblin smuggler with a pegleg and a eyepatch. His “helper,” Hooktail the starnox, steals, glides through the rafters, and occasionally poisons customers.
