Built as a maintenance bot with some method of harnessing lightning to arc-weld metal parts to frames or otherwise do repair work in a mine. Gradually awakened as a means of bootstrapping itself to problem solve. It's still mainly focused on doing what is good for the mine's interests, but has a bit of self-preservational priorities as well, and maybe even a sense of trancendant thinking about existential topics. But this is watered down in favor of the practical most of the time.
