Colette was a witch who practiced magic with the secret coven of her medieval kingdom of Buttonwood Valley ruled by a lazy magic-hating king. After her dad founds out about her magical adventures and threatened to turn her in to the king, she decided to impulsively use a interplanar portal spell, one that used a type of magic she had never seen before. Her spell horribly backfired (of course) and intertwined with that of a witch from a parallel world, sending both of them off their original track. Her magical mishap took her and her new companion, Lyris, to another plane called Earth. Now with nothing but the clothes on her back and her mother's staff, the two of them needed to find their place in the world (or find their way back home... if they can).

With no way home and desperate for a fresh start, Colette searched Earth for a new passion. With the help of her new human friend Damien, an Eclipse alum, Colette got a spot at Eclipse Academy so she could continue to practice magic for the greater good (and maybe make some friends along the way too).
