Eclipse Academy is hosting the annual Burning Bright Science Fair, where students from across the state compete for scholarships, prestige, and enough caffeine to legally classify as reactor fuel.

But this year, something is wrong. Ever since the incident at the perfume store, Ms. Sanada has been on edge about security for the event. Unfortunately, the higher ups do not believe her requests to be warranted. On top of that, the county is insisting on sending three impartial judges- all of whom are unknown to Ms. Sanada.

By the end of the night, the science fair may crack open something dangerous beneath the school itself.
