Yasuki Masahiko the second son in his bloodline.

His father Katsuki is a sensai at the merchant dojo in the "Yasuki Estates", his mother Natsuki (former Hiruma Natsuki) is a minor officer in the guard. Therefor he & and his brother mostly lives with his grandfather in "clear water village" regularly traveling to both parents.

While his brother fully goes the route of his father and is deep into being a merchant & courtier, Masahiro resembles more his mother. Not only in his eagerness but also in optics. Some people mistakenly called him a girl several times during his upbringing. While not an actor he could pass for a woman, if given some time to prepare.

Due to objections from his father and grandfather he did not enter the hiruma dojo and became a scout. Instead as some compromise he became a yojimbo. Still picking up the sword, but not directly serving at the wall (for now). He started to like that situaltion, seeing the chance to combine the finer things in life with the well know prowess of the crab. He passed his genpuko with flying colors. His good reflexes and attention to detail were the defining factors during this last test. After that he was send on a long escort-mission from Kyden Hido overto the scorpion, the lion and even close to the dragon. During the stop in Kyden Tonbo, a letter from home with new orders for the travelgroup arrived. They were to split up. Some to come home, some to join another party down river in the Phoenix lands and the last to travel to the city of the rich frog.

He was part of the last group. the direct mission: check out the city, secure the trades and help the allready existing crab samurai. the indirect mission: you are an asset at the focal-point of three clans, be ready when called upon. Well now he is here.

Time to get used to the bickering lion and unicorn. Maybe he should get a hobby, or maybe find a way to humiliate a Kakita, that is also always fun.
