Hayate is a short samurai at 5ft tall, with a muscular build hidden under layers of clothing. Their long white hair, typically tied back into a ponytail that reaches below their shoulders, and icy blue eyes gives evidence of their strong Kakita bloodline. They favor dark blues and grays, muted colors that do not draw a great deal with attention to them. Their clothing varies day to day in style, either masculine or feminine style depending on mood or need.

Hayate wears their daisho on their left hip with a second katana and their warfan on their right. When going into a situation where combat is a possibility, they wear a set of light blue and white ashigaru armor.

In terms of personality, Hayate prefers to observe then speak. They use their unassuming nature to lure others into underestimating them then poking at weak points to draw someone into throwing insults.
