A village, long ways towards east in the border of Lion and Dragon lands, a village sits. Long forgotten, sunk beneath a flood that never receded. It is as if the kami themselves refuse to allow the ground to dry, for fire to exist, all that is found there are old waterlogged dreams, neck deep water and incessant rain.

Rebellious peasants often find their way to it. Forming raiding parties forged in common misery and gnawng hunger, the dull hardship of being cold and wet on a daily basis driving men and women to rabid instinct.

The Dragon and Lion constantly blame each other for the bandit presence that trickles out of that accursed place, hence, the Governor has suggested the Kaeru deal with it. And the Kaeru have promptly passed the bill to you!

This will be a PBP session. You will be tasked with venturing into a village who has not seen a dry day for at least a year. Rebellious peasants, despearte, hungry and on the verge of their sanity often make their way to it where clan authorities won't follow. You will be tasked with putting down the latest gathering of them before they get so miserly they decide risking an early meeting with Emma-O a better prospect than remaining in the cold, damp, rotting structures.

This session will be played over 3 days, beginnign early tuesday and hopefully being finished by friday. Combat is the main focus of the session, as such characters equipped for combat will be given preference. This scene will explore themes of oppression and abuse of power, as you, the well fed, well trained and well equipped bushi go and trounce the most miserly of peasants who dared to rebel against the celestial order. You aren't heroes, you're jack booted thugs out to do dirty work under a veil of duty. As a final detail, you will be fighting over the roofs and atop rowboats in a long ruined village where the waters are neck deep and murky. Horse and other not aquatically inclined animal companions may be better left to the care of the City.
