She is a lean but toned young woman of pale well kept skin, though she will hate to admit that being a field operative is adding a slight tan to her to skin. Somewhat shorter then average of her size. She leans towards garb of darker green of a faded shade. To better blend into the dark or a dark forest.
She keeps her garb and gear in well kept, neat, and orderly fashion. Even though no longer strictly in the military, she carries her appearence and personal atmosphere of a professional.
She was an orphan and adopted by a rich noble family that had ties to the military. Chosen because they wanted a human daughter, and she was young enough to be a 'blank slate' for the family to shape as they deemed fit. Her health, pretty hair and eyes played a minor role in it too, learned from her servants that gossiped and whispered around her.
She at a very learned at a very young age soon after, was fairly certain she was not human, but to not upset her new parents, and safeguard her want to keeping out from being sent back to orphanage, she kept that to herself.
She was raised by her parents closely, but not with love nor hate, but control and politics in mind. Her parents were having trouble birthing their own child. So to couple their political power with another military family, she was being raised as the bride to be for that other family's son.
Raised on all sorts of noble things, manners, music, art, history, and the softer skills of political positioning, intrigue, and careful selection of one's own words and unsaid meaning.
But on her 12th birthday, her parents became with child. And in 9 moons, she was older sister to her new born baby brother and baby sister. Her parents had twins.
The plans of her parents changed all to soon changed. She was soon shipped off to a military academy to train future officers of the military. Her non-adopted siblings assuredly taking the plans her parents had in her stead.
But that was fine for her. She applied herself new lessons with as much vigour that she did as with her learning as a noble. Military Tactics, Military History, Supplies Lines, strategy, and whatever else she could apply herself too. Focusing on competition perfection for academy students in archery, to round out her studies in the library and testing halls. Even to the point she maintained her own bows and arrows.
Hoping to get into a military position where she was a garrison leader. Keeping a defensive position up to snuff. A keep or castle near the trade roads. Where her personal comforts could be easily attained and up kept. Noble comforts if she was no longer part of her noble parents' political plans.
But even with her stellar grades and high performance in many an archery competition, even with the subtle plying of her noble family's name she still had, the Military was at a slight loss what to do with her. They could not give her such a position as per dreams hoped for, as she was both noble and not a noble, and other true noble heirs were graduating with her that could fill that role.
But they were not really able to bust her down to common rank and file front lines of the military, a bad spot that would be to put her in, as that would ruin the morale of other future academy graduates to know hard work would be rewarded with an unjust rewards.
She was given a 'writ' of a position. She was part of military, but not of a comfortable military position for an officer, nor a rank and file unit, but as a free agent.
A free agent to do what she wanted too and thought best to be of benefit of the military. But as long as she kept far away from the plans, homes, and movements of the noble families and their members movements through the larger beast of the military
She was about to set off to be as such on the frontier, but found a job as a minor noble house's garden maid. Tending to flowers, serving tea to the Lady of the House and her guess. A life of quiet service, a private room to one's self, and meals warm and sometimes leftovers of the unfinished fancy fare the family did not gobble up sometimes.
But she was left in Torrine, to work half of month in the tavern to pay of the family's tab, where they used the small settlement to engage in some buying and selling of family assets in the area. She was miffed at her circumstances but worked with focused patience all the while.
She was promised to be picked up again by the family. But not a hair of the family or the family's staff ever arrived. Another week turned into 2 weeks, and then a full month.
So she is now an adventurer starting her career Torrine. Forgotten about thrice now. Family, military, and again another family.
Determined to not let fate or the abandoned of people in power and authority define her, that she will have the last laugh and hurrah, and make anyone who knew her regret thinking that was was of no consequence.
