Where did we go?

• Fought in the forest battlefield where the noble soldiers had fallen and the flameskulls first appeared.
• Tracked north through the forest to a hidden campsite containing a carriage and a group of armored knights guarding it.
• Departed the forest and traveled back toward Dawnport with wagons and newly tamed horses.

Who did we meet?

• Veteran Guards: Seven fully armored knights at the forest campsite, former comrades of the fallen soldiers, now guarding a carriage and the captured noble.
• Richard Von Bane: The nobleman who fled the battle with the devil and abandoned his men; found captured by the Veteran Guards and later died by apparent poison.
• Party members involved: Dax (Watch Commander of Dawnport), Father Hoilsat (Paladin), Hanz (Ranger), Beatrix, Zevrouge, Ariana, and Eden.

What actually happened?

After defeating the initial group of flameskulls and preparing the bodies for return, five more of the noble soldiers’ heads ignited and transformed into new flameskulls, which the party managed to destroy. In the aftermath, Dax pushed to stay focused on hunting the devil, while Father Hoilsat lamented that more could have been done for the undead.

Hanz scouted north from a treetop and spotted a distant campsite, where the party found seven Veteran Guards protecting a carriage and holding the cowardly noble Richard Von Bane prisoner for fleeing the devil fight. After tense discussion, Dax convinced them that Richard needed to be interrogated in Dawnport and urged them to pursue “Talk Back,” the tiefling who had secretly summoned the devil and caused the slaughter, but Richard suddenly poisoned himself with a hidden vial and died before questioning.

In gratitude for the party’s help, the Veteran Guards paid 600 gold (split between Hanz, Zevrouge, and Ariana) and distributed magic items: Mantle of Resistance to Beatrix, Sentinel Shield to Father Hoilsat, Medallion of Thought to Eden, and Split Adamantine Armor to Dax. With their business concluded, the group prepared to leave; Zevrouge burned Richard’s body along with the noble’s carriage, while Dax and Hanz tamed two horses, and the party returned to Dawnport to rest and plan their next move against the devil and “Talk Back.”

what just happened ( from ariana perspective ):

ariana join the other to rescue the noble and his men.

During the journey they meet with a cleric dwarf name wisemen gemstone.

He give a warning and trade some potion of healing and Holy water for rations

Then we proceed to move on foot and found the remaining noble's army that been surrounded by undead creature called flameskull.

We manage to defeat them but sadly we cannot save the men's and we also lost 5 men on our side.

before we move forward, Dax transport the fallen men and zevrouge give his final goodbye to the fallen ally.

Dax found out thru one of the fallen men last will, that the army was been using as a scapegoat for the noble to escape from a devil ambush and the devil something along the like of

"where is talk back my summoner I want to kill him"

suddenly the fallen has turn into the flameskull and attack us but we manage to deal with it quickly than expected.

After we settle with that, we meet the the remaining veteran, they have knocked up the noble for his cowardness and really feel disgusted on Richard ( the noble) action

Dax manage to convince the veteran to join dax to defeat the devil. try to contact talkback but he doesn't respond.

suddenly the noble dead due to poisoning by someone.

then:

• Beatrix took the mantel from the dead noble
• hans find the 600gp which we spit with others
• father took the Sentinel Sheild
• eden to the Medallion of Thoughts
• dax took the adamantine armor
• and zevrouge manage to burn down the noble remains and the carriage he is in.

we go back to dawnport to prepare for the upcoming devil hunt.

Mission: To rescue a noble and his men againts creatures of undead

• The rescue party consists of:

1. Dax
2. Beatrix
3. Father Hoilsat
4. Zevrouge
5. Hanz
6. Eden
7. Ariana
8. Dawnport guards

• The party travelled on wagons, through the forest, till they found a dwarven cleric named Wisemen, standing between the two paths diverged to a different place. Wisemen gave the party a warning of dangers ahead, and offered them holy water and potion of healing in exchange for rations.
• Left path had an obvious tracks on it (perhaps too obvious), while the right one had a hawk circling around, which then Beatrix recognised as Talkback's familiar. The party agreed to go right, but proceed to move on foot just to be safe
• Further the path, we found a group of noble armies that has been surrounded by 4 undead creatures known as Flameskull. Battle began shortly after. During the battle, Beatrix recalled that the only way to truly kill these creatures is to use Radiant damage or Holy Water.
• Eventually the party managed to defeat them all, but unfortunately all of the noble's army and most of Dawnport guards were killed in the battle.

• After the party's done paying respect to the fallen soldiers, Dax started moving the bodies onto the wagons. Out of sudden, some of the heads started to detach from the dead bodies, floats away and eventually transformed into Flameskulls. Another battle began. The Flameskulls were defeated.
• The party continues north, and met up with a group of Veteran Army who had the noble, Richard Von Bane, tied up in a wagon, due to his cowardice. After several conversations, the party learned that Talkback has been guising himself as one of the member of the Veteran Army. He was also accused of being the one that summoned a Devil-creature to this place. The party tried to communicate with him using Sending, but received no response
• Dax managed to convince the Veteran Army to help them defeat the Devil that has been summoned.
• Amidst all of that, the noble somehow was found dead by poison.
• The party found some loot in the wagon and shared it amongst themselves.
• The party then decided to go back to Dawnport, in order to prepare to defeat the Devil that had been summoned.
