A boy born outside the city, in the suburbs of a village. A son born between a blacksmith father and a hunter mother. I lived a good childhood. Once I came the age of 20, I enlisted to the Kingdom's military where I climbed my way up the ranks till I reached the rank of Major, surviving and leading through the toughest of missions with successful along with a few failures. All was well until one day the Kingdom decided to instate the law of Noblesse Oblige, where a child from a noble house has to dip into Military affairs, and to my luck, me and my battalion take orders under a son of a count, and was immediately given a mission to neutralize a rumoured enemy battalion lurking in the outskirts. We went straight towards the destination until we reached it, I realized it was the village where I was born and raised. What I then thought would be a search and capture operations, was instead a sudden command by our noble officer to burn down the whole village. Holding back my anger, I advised the Noble officer to avoid civilian casualties, but what I got in response was a dismissal arrogance, saying Commoners of the outskirts can simply be casualties of war. The moment hit me like a wall, I wanted to defy those order more sternly but before I could get a word out, I was knocked out clean. Next thing I knew I woke up in the barracks, I asked my fellow officers what happened after I was outed, they shook in condolences as the order was carried out and the whole village including the supposed enemy soldiers got burned till the sun rose up , leaving it charred all over. As I was called upon by my commanding officer, I was charged with insubordination and punished with an honourable discharge due to my service over the few years. Upon leaving, I ponder in depression of what befalls my life, with only a few pounds of gold on my person I could only wander until I was called out by an old man bard who asked my story. I talked and he listened, after that he patted my back and pass me a worned out lite as he smiles at me, and beckons me to follow. Seeing as I had nowhere else to go, I took the lure and follow, for the past year he taught me the ways of the bard, enchanting the audience on his favourite and begets the cheers of a crowds. A year after that, he decides I can live my independence as I wish and so thanking for the yearly journey and apprenticeship, I live for myself with music and entertainment and as well and doing a few odd jobs to help the people, my grudge for the irresponsible and arrogant nobility still remains, but for now I survive for the people and climb back up slowly till the day.
