Backstory

Orphaned at a young age and without anywhere to go, Mavis wandered town to town living off what she could for many months, something that would've went on longer if it weren't for a kind ringmaster, a man by the name of Hagen Mccall, and his small traveling act. During that time she'd join the troupe as "Mavis the Marvelous" and learn all sorts of performative tricks, knife throwing, (limited) animal handling, and of course... magic tricks! The living arrangements might not've been as flashy as the tricks her and the others would do, but it was a good life. But with the passing of the ringmaster and the disbanding of the group, she now finds herself making her own way through life as an amateur magician trying to make ends meet.

Personality

Mavis is a rather flamboyant and peppy person who often forgets herself when she's putting on a show, often oblivious to the attention she draws to herself (just generally speaking). Despite the theatrics, she never quite shakes off the vibe of being a sketchy hack magician to those just meeting her, but she's a surprisingly honorable person, never one to back down from an opportunity to help where she can!
