Overseer: Marlin Grance (Owner of logging business)
Report: Goblins and kobolds ransacked the storage facilities. They bypassed standard valuable goods, strictly taking wood and heavy tools used for chopping, hauling, and dealing with timber.
Private Investigation: Before notifying the Guild, Marlin Grance hired three mercenaries from a nearby tavern to reclaim his property. The results were disastrous:
Investigation Report: The surviving rogue reported that the party was ambushed in an impossibly planned manner. The goblins and kobolds did not fight with their usual chaotic nature. Instead, they utilized advanced military flanking maneuvers, coordinated crossfires, and tactical positioning that these creatures should naturally be incapable of executing without outside, highly disciplined leadership.
Incident 1-2
Overseer: Theresa Miller (Operations Manager, Oakhaven Limestone Quarry)
Report: A massive shipment of quicklime and heavy crushed aggregate was intercepted and seized along the eastern trade route. The draft animals were left alive, but the specialized hauling wagons were stolen.
Private Investigation: A local militia scout tracked the wagon ruts three miles deep into the northern thicket before losing the trail on solid ground.
Investigation Report: The scout noted that the heavy wagons were handled with extreme precision to avoid breaking the axles under maximum load. The stolen quicklime is not a material usable by primitive tribes for weapons or basic campfires. It is a critical component required exclusively for the manufacture of industrial-grade concrete and mortar.
Incident 1-3
Overseer: Magistrate Brandon (Borderlands Settlement Council)
Report: Two minor outlying homesteads were found completely abandoned overnight. There were no signs of a struggle, no bloodstains, and the livestock were left untouched in their pens.
Private Investigation: The local watch searched the perimeters and found uniform, deep geometric tracks leading into the dense forest.
Investigation Report: The missing persons include three adult laborers and four children aged seven to eleven. The complete lack of chaos points to a highly organized, dominating force executing silent abductions. The purpose behind taking children alongside able-bodied laborers remains entirely unknown to the council, as it defies standard green-skin raiding behavior which typically results in immediate slaughter
