Lightning struck in barren lands,
Where stone colossi take their stand,
To wayward sea all dark and stormy,
A perfect place to start a story.
****
With mighty roar and thunder sound,
And wings that flap and shake the ground,
The stone giants in their watchful sleep,
Do guard against the vengeful deep.
****
Yet why they’re there? Can hardly tell,
With chiselled face and ancient spell,
It may take and adventurers eye,
To seek out the truth of god knows why.
