I have been here before, outside of the game

A breeze coming from a wall: smells like outside, vented, powerful magic

Get in through secret door - Izzi finds secret button in the forge
Suit of armour and magic items, magic weapons, lots of stuff
Lost treasure of the dwarves
Aylin puts on the armour - she is now the lord knight of remsha naftha
+1 longbow: made by Siasou, need attunement, gifted to me by now lord knight Alylin - whilst hunting around lake, advantage on hunt, I am recognised as extension of the lord knight, we both have adv on checks to barter
Izzi firebolts the forge, creates a fireball that downs me lol, forge is now relit

Go hunting, crit on 27 - find place where tracks change - thing had a massive wide tail, burrows into the ground and disappears

Back to RN, Aylin makes a huge impression, Han is emotional
EVERYONE in the city comes to see her in the armour, 100s of people
They all bow in respect to their lord knight, its a big deal
Orzalon crown era protection
Ember is tele’d in, also given special armour

Aylin learns location of Othaya and its human people - deeply hidden from Empire
Mountainous region, coast, have to be on foot
Feel cursed: when first crown bearer(Luzon/Luxe) came here, he came with friend and aid. One aid, man last name Othaya, settled in that region. His line still exists in that region. Every male heir gets sick and dies, never lives to see adulthood.
Othaya and Whitmore were once one house.
Luzon the crownbearer - kind and just soul, wanted to unite the realm against the darkness. When he first arrived, shadows plagued the lands. Only by uniting 7 kingdoms could he fight back the darkness.
14 regions total, 7 in north, 7 in south
Find the armours, have people wear them - empowered - mechanical function
Before crown: plagued by beasts of shadow, malformed, horrible creatures, terrible magic
Beast with 8 legs too many, liked to eat people. Cult worshipped him, trap travellers in forest west, poison to incapacitate, fed them alive to beast.
These beings came under control of crown. Crown stopped creatures from entering realm.
Luzon was key in forming godblind - he figured out how to maintain it, make it permanent- also to banish creatures
Abyssal creatures can’t be teleporting in, have to be HERE IN THE REALM
Trying to teleport in from out of realm causes u to be splintered

Harpies appear, communicating with Corvus
I succeed an athletics check to jump across bridge gap
Told everyone to be aware of anti-magic technology
Harpies got sucked here through a portal - creation myth
Statue is repaired. Leftmost door is opened.
Arcana check - crit - statues are pulling magic in, this is a place of power, the power is fae in nature. Many different magics all working together in this world?

Dogs (Zaren) are native to Aoraki! Very uncouth for me to touch one unbidden, bond with rider for life, fiercely protective, dog will come to you if it wants to bond

Found owlbear lair! If I get the pelt, can bring it to Golden Thread sisters to get a very nice cloak :) The sisters have swanky shops in Caelia
Hadari goes into the cave - is attacked by 2 owlbears - NARROW ESCAPE thanks to Hadari’s animal handling and Exeter tweaking fate (making me succeed a luck check) so that Mot communicates with the owlbears and saves us!
Mot grows alcoholic mushrooms for us and we celebrate :)
Explore up left river fork - very cold, crisp biting wind - lots of game, less Imperial presence
Lots of fish in river, unusual for winter, salmony, unnatural inky blackness to scales from silt?
Arcana ch on vial of water and silt - Exeter channels a little magic into it w prestidigitation - pulls magic from her, absorbs magic and dissipates it harmlessly - reminds me of my innate family power?!?!
