Crossing the Divide - Part 2

PREVIOUSLY: Libraries! Dirigibles! Floating cities! People with crystals for heads! Sexy outfits! Sky whales!

NOW: after a long three days, we will be rejoining Captain Rossi on his skyship to journey over the Great Divide into lands unknown. From there we’ll be searching for the biggest library yet, and hopefully picking up Blue Eyes’ trail before it’s too late.

Day 1

Told to see tailor in New Zuros when we arrive
Zephiron docks are busy
Archie negotiates price w/ Rossi - 100 krowns per head with labour, 500 total (note send Archie 100)
Gil immediately gets on with the crew
Mysterious VIPs also travelling on the ship (young boy and lady)
Easy travel most of day, then action - we dip below the cloud layer, ready for combat - Drakes and wyverns!
See terrain - ground not visible, dark abyss, mountains are black, towering sharp spires, shattered remnants of mountains, some huge impact/rift
7 nights before full moon
Journey estimated between 6-8 days depending on weather
I tell Rossi I might turn into a werewolf on the ship lol

Day 2

I should’ve been called for watch last night but wasn’t
Rossi and the bosun (Morelli) were having a long convo
Cloudy weather, we help clean

Day 3

Weather not improving, rain on and off
That night we find a ghost ship - has been robbed and stripped down, crew killed, bodies taken
Tow it with us - needs new sails

Day 4

Boat from north clan, Amara, was diplomatic
Dangerous to cast magic over the Divide, can attract the storm
Talk w Rossi and group about “my condition”, Rossi mad
Decide to tow the ship to put me in
Go see Nightbloom when we arrive

Day 5-7? smooth sailing

1st Night of full moon

Critical failure because of course!!!
Gil upcasts sleep and puts me to sleep somehow!?

2nd night of full moon

Turn back into a person during the day
Nat 20 yay!
The storm arrives! We shove all the cannons, anything not nailed down tossed overboard to lighten our load
Luck checks work out and we manage to just haul ahead of the storm

Next day

Storm still chasing us, other side of the Divide in sight
I gain level of exhaustion

Day 11

A THIRD 1 ON A CON SAVE >>>>:( second level of exhaustion

Last wolf night is rough
Long and harrowing day and night
Barely pull through

We crossed the Divide!

Red sand and clay, super dry and arid
Arrive at New Zuros - made of geodesic domes and trees, lots of glass, Aztec-esque, go to Nightbloom’s shop and meet Whimsy and his robo dog
