An unknown demon, known as Pyre, has been doing what was thought impossible: uniting the war-torn goblin tribes under one banner, his own warband known as the Wardogs. Pyre has amassed anywhere from hundreds to thousands of goblins and other creatures, and has been raiding settlements of the neutral wards of Azor. Rumors have it that they are preparing for something big, and they are amassing in an old ruined temple out in the Grey Ward. We have to be ready.
(This is the second session of this adventure. You didn't have to be part of the prior sessions to take part in this session, but it would be wise to read the session recap.)
Pyre's Rise pt. 1 session recap:
- Knights Questors were transporting new initiates to get new weapons and armor from the Court of the Crescent Moon; but were ambushed by goblins that all had a crude red hound tattoo on their faces. A 14-year old initiate named Helion was the only initiate to survive the ambush alongside the knights.
- A rival goblin tribe to the Wardogs, known as the Tin-ear tribe, told the knights about a possible raid the Wardogs were planning on a small Tiefling settlement out in the Red Ghetto. Tin Ear goblins said the Wardogs were raiding them because they wanted the Worgs the Tieflings were raising.
- The knights got there right on time and were able to fight alongside the Tieflings and defeat most of the goblins in the raid. They got information out of some Wardog prisoners that Pyre was amassing in an old temple out in the Grey Ward.
