Ruka's Story begins like many stories before he was born. A group of druids who wanted to preserve their grove before retreating to Underhaven brought with them seeds and saplings from their grove, wanting to be able to start anew. Hoever due to the struggles of growing trees underground and the awakening of all grown trees, the druids made a secret pact. They would bond the seeds and saplings with their own bodies, letting them grow, mature, evolve and fill up with energy for the day they could one day return to the earth as trees. Until then the seeds and saplings would feed on the druids they were bonded to's neutraiants, while in return, the druids gained a higher affinity for nature magic.
This self isolating druid circle would keep this up for generations, in some cases many in other cases fewer, given the mixed life lengths of its members until the present time.
Ruka was born to two elves in the cicle a wood elf and a Drow but to say he took after his Drow mother in appearance would be an understatement. His time in the cicle is something he would always remember fondly for while his main problem in life was present here as well it affected him far less as he could spend time with his family. Ruka would spend the next 60 years growing up like this in relatively happy conditions, as some of the other circle families' kids would come of appopriate he would see the bonding ceremony a few times and as he outlived other members he would see the entire thing come full circle. Eventualy he was at the time the only one not bonded with a sapling, at this point the cicrcles total members had shrunk since it began leaving them with more seeds and sapling then there was members, saplings, while evryone had begun carrying more of the seeds to make up for that Ruka's father elected to give Ruka an even higer amount then the others. AS the ritual was conducted, Ruka could feel the seeds and saplings magic resonating in him as they merged with him and while worried the boy felt proud and happy the last proper happy memory he would have for a while before he fainted.
When he came to Ruka was alone; nobody else in the cicle remeained evryone had vanished. He searched for days, weeks, months, but had to finally accept he was alone. His druidic magic, which the plants growing inside him granted him, ensured he could keep himself fed so he never starved or struggled to survive. Rather the trouble came with trying to integrate himself in society living like a hermit on the fringe of Underhaven. He had always had poor social skills and the few times he made friends, years would passin a blink for him while others would outgrow him, no longer wanting or having time for him. This happened a fair few times over the next 30 years. During these years, he started having strange intrusive thoughts telling him to do stuff such as feed, spread and most recurrently return to the surface where common ones but other things as well. To tend to his loneliness hye began having what amounted to one sided conversations out loud with what he assumed were his own intrusive thoughts refering to them as the forests. One thing that he found helped quiet these thouhgts where listning to music, and so he recently has found himself listening to the popular singer but as shy as he is always listens to any indoor performance with one foot out the door, and any outdoor one as far away as he can still hear her music. Another individual Ruka has recently made himself familiar with is the baker tho its unclear if he actually a friend of the half orc or if he is there to talk to her cat. Either way, Ruka**** often finds himself fishing near her mill.
