A small forest-covered floating island in the centre of the archipelago. It is home to the Beacon of Altharion, the source of the magic that brought the islands together.
Lush and vibrant, Verdalis is the most populous area. People who arrive through one of the portals will generally find themselves in or around Everholt, the large city to the east edge of the island.
Solcrata is harsh and rugged, prone to seismic instability, it is covered in large ravines where the ground has shifted and been torn apart. Despite this there are people who choose to live in Solcrata, those who are more comfortable in the environment it offers.
Unlike the other islands, people tend not to live in Tenebryn unless they have a specific reason to do so. It's extremely mountainous and barren, with little to no signs of life.
Like Solcrata, there are people who choose to live on the frozen islands of Iskralith. With its endless snow and ice, it can be unforgiving to those not accustomed to the climate, but for those who thrive in mountains and tundra, Iskralith can make a home safe from outside threats.
While Altharion is made up of the five major biome areas seen on the world map, it is certainly not limited to them. All across Altharion there are portals popping in and out of existence. These portals lead to an infinite number of different realms and universes, as such the people of Altharion are as unique and esoteric as the worlds they came from.
What this means for you is that your character come from any world, you are not limited to this one. If you choose you can bring a character over from your existing DnD world, or something you've been writing. Flavour is free and as long as it doesn't change mechanics we are happy to see the variety of characters people bring to our archipelago.
