Phil's nothing special.
A man who dropped out of high school early to begin a music career. That career had quickly failed, in-turn classifying him as a bum in the face of his parents and causing him to be kicked out.
He's hopped between multiple jobs: from being a waiter, to a delivery man, to a construction worker, to even a taxi-driver; none of the jobs held long, however, he was always let go sooner or later.
The man wondered if there was really any job he could stick with, a job he was good enough at that he wouldn't be let go.
Then, it hit him - boxing! Phillips had a naturally strong body, and he had gotten into street brawls before, so surely this would be a piece of cake.
He was wrong.
He was right about one thing - the fact he had talent - but he was wrong about it being easy. A coach took him in believing he'd be worth it due to his body, but the rigorous training regime took a toll on Phil.
He put up with it, he could have put up with it even further, but this isn't what he wanted. Phil wanted an easy cash-in, or at the very least a quick buck - this was neither, this took time, and he needed money now rather than later.
He eventually dropped out of the gym and instead resorted to street boxing - unofficial boxing matches held on the street where people bet money on fighters.
This wasn't a stable source of income, however. Differing payouts depending on how many people bet in a day, injuries piling up that required medical bills, and general hounding from cops stopping the matches.
Eventually, it proved too troublesome, and he was back to square one. That was until he found a flyer for a quest on the Reaches of Altharion.
..The payout was large, very large. Gold starting from five hundred to even more, it felt like another chance for Phillips to get his shit together.
And so, he decided to go - to the Reaches of Altharion
