Description

There are places where memory does not fade. It freezes.

High upon a mountain whose peak fractures the sky, a stretch of land now bears the Potto name. The wind does not merely blow; it howls without rest. Snow gathers in unnatural spirals, and the stone beneath the frost hums with something old and patient.

Fragos does not remember how he first arrived.

Only fragments remain: the taste of iron in the air, a sky split by pale auroras, and a presence moving within the storm. Before Timmy, before the bar, before the laughter and the clatter of tankards, there had been another companion. A winter wolf. Vast, intelligent, and fiercely loyal.

Now, as workers begin carving foundations into the permafrost to establish a new Potto bar, strange disturbances spread across the site. Tools freeze solid mid-swing. Frost creeps over timber even beside roaring braziers. At night, massive pawprints circle the construction grounds, too large to belong to any natural beast. Sometimes a low growl rolls through the stone itself, deep enough to feel in the ribs rather than hear.

The mountain is not empty.

Deep within its frozen heart, entombed in ice older than kingdoms, rests an Ancient Frost. Whether it is a guardian, a jailer, or the first being Fragos ever saw when he was transported to this peak is unknown. But its presence is no accident.

If the Potto name is to take root here, if the 10,000 gold investment is to become more than a frozen grave of ambition, then the mountain must be claimed. And Fragos must confront the first memory he ever had, buried in rime and silence.

Some debts are paid in gold.
Others are paid in truth.

Objective

• Secure a fief of mountain land under the Potto name.
• Invest 10,000 gold to establish the new Potto bar and its infrastructure.
• Investigate the unnatural frost disrupting construction efforts.
• Descend into the mountain’s depths and locate the source of the ancient cold.
• Confront the Ancient Frost and uncover the fate of Fragos’ winter wolf.
• Ensure the bar’s successful establishment as a permanent stronghold.

DM Rules

• The Golden Rule: The first and most important rule: Respect others. Everyone’s here to have fun, tell stories, and roll dice together. Keep things fair, kind, and enjoyable for all players and the DM alike.
• Fair Play: There are no dice rolls or PvP conflicts between players unless both parties explicitly agree to it.
  Disputes, tension, or conflict should always stay in-character, not personal.
• Strings of Fate: Your choices shape the world. As DM, I act as a neutral narrator. I do not favor PCs or NPCs. Every decision carries weight, and actions (or inaction) have real consequences in the story.
• The Voice over the Sword: In and out of combat, strong characterization and clever thinking can change outcomes, earn rewards, or open new paths. Exceptional moments of RP may shift the flow of events entirely.
• Coordinated Strikes(Flanking Rules): If you and an ally stand on opposite sides of an enemy, both of you gain advantage on your attack rolls.
  • Monsters with Pack Tactics gain additional bonuses on top of this.
  • Weapons with reach can be used for flanking.
  • Ranged weapons do not qualify for flanking.
  • If three or more allies surround the same foe, the effect is always active for all attackers.
• Swift Draughts: You may drink a health potion as a bonus action for rolled hp or as a full action for full healing(max rolls). Same applies when administering the potion to an ally.
• A Living World: This world is alive and responsive. The gods watch closely, and the boundaries of what’s possible are fluid. If you want to attempt something unusual, just ask. Magic and fate may surprise you.
• Boundless Magic: The spell Anti-Magic Field does not exist here, not in any form, scroll, or secret archive.
  Magic is an intrinsic force of the world itself. It cannot be silenced or nullified.
• I Know Therefore I Am: If you are above level 9 and do not have all aspects of your build ready to go out of the box, you will not be accepted. Automation makes things go smooth, and smooth is fast. We don't want to take 20 minutes for a turn.
