Backstory: What happens when two heroes fall in love? Well, they tend to find somewhere nice, settle down away from adventuring life and then, possibly, pop out (or otherwise acquire) a few kids along the way. Kallek almost had this kind of idyllic life, except for the fact that both of his parents remained in the adventuring life, deciding they much preferred remaining in the limelight. He himself was dropped off with a few trusted adults back home. Needless to say it wasn't exactly a great way to raise a child.
Now that Kallek's all grown up and his parents have began to get on in their years there's a certain expectation for him and his siblings to follow in the same trade. Reluctant as he is to part from the monastery he was practically raised in there's nothing better than some healthy sibling rivalry and an unhealthy craving for approval from his mother and father to get him off his ass and out into the big wide world.
