Azad Nymari was born into a changeling family that spent much of his childhood wandering before eventually finding refuge in Akhrazem. There, the Nymaris finally put down roots, eventually saving enough to purchase a small inn and performance house near the oasis, catering to merchants and travelers passing through the region.
He became a traveling bard, collecting songs, dances, stories, lovers, and occasionally even faces from those he met. His family wandered because they had no home; Azad began wandering once he had one. No matter how far he travels, Akhrazem is where he returns.
The war has now strangled the trade that keeps his family’s establishment alive. Rooms sit empty, travelers are scarce, and the Nymaris are burning through their savings simply to keep the doors open. If trade doesn’t recover, they risk losing the first home they’ve ever truly owned.
When Azad learned that adventurers were needed to escort Akhrazem’s gold through the Belt of Tirva, he volunteered. The promised reward certainly helps—but ensuring the gold reaches Akhrazem means something more.
