Etilio was raised in a modest home on the outskirts of Rava Daksha, surrounded by the fertile plains, waterways, and woodlands of his homeland. His family had little, but their home was warm and welcoming—often filled with the aroma of his mother’s cooking and neighbors stopping by for a meal or recipe.
From childhood, Etilio was a dreamer, fascinated by magic and the world beyond home. When he and his younger brother played adventurers, his brother always wielded the imaginary sword and shield. Etilio always played the mage at his side.
When his brother was still an infant, however, he contracted a mysterious disease that neither local remedies nor temple healing could cure. In desperation, Etilio’s father sought the aid of a roaming shaman, who offered an unusual solution: the disease could not be cured, but it could be transferred.
Etilio pleaded with his father to let him take it. His body was older and stronger than his baby brother’s; where the infant had little time left, Etilio might have years to find another answer.
Eventually, his father agreed.
The ritual succeeded. His brother lived, and Etilio became the disease’s new host.
As he grew older, Etilio studied under the clerics of his local temple, learning their faith, healing arts, and divine magic. He already knew they couldn’t cure him—but he wanted to understand why. Eventually, he realized the answers he sought might exist beyond anything his teachers knew.
Now a young cleric of Morpheus the Dreamer, Etilio has finally left Rava Daksha to explore the world he spent his childhood imagining. Somewhere among its distant temples, unfamiliar magics, forgotten knowledge, and strange peoples, he believes his cure exists.
Someday, he intends to return home to his brother—with a cure if he can find one, but certainly with all the stories they once dreamed of together.
Compact, broad-built halfling with caramel-brown skin, thick brown curls, and a neatly groomed beard. A dark eyepatch conceals one disease-marked eye, while warm features and an easy smile reflect his hopeful nature. He dresses in Sarzalom-inspired clerical garb with gold accents, carrying a mace, shield, and the owl-topped sanctuary amulet of Morpheus.
