Gerion Duskborne is the son of a dark elf scout and a tavern maid. His father came to Zillikar with a band of scouts decades ago, but after falling in love with Gerion's mother, he abandoned his people and was exiled. Raised by them both, Gerion learned honor and compassion from his mother, and discipline and warcraft from his father.

"Duskborne" was given to him as an insult for his mixed blood. Rather than reject it, Gerion claimed it as his own. Now he wanders Zillikar determined to forge a legacy worthy of the name, until Duskborne is spoken with respect instead of scorn.
