After finding a severed skeleton arm, he discovered that he could gain power by replacing is own with the magic item, with the help of Marchosias Almod, Drakthar held a necrotic ritual to sever his arm and gain control of the necrotic energies inside of it.

Currently in a loose "partnership" with Diavolo(A thiefling from the infernal war who fought for the demons) - Met him during his first gauntlet run and made a deal with him in order to help escape, since becoming a runner, he kept working with this mysterious benefactor, and has embraced his curse.

All that changed in one fateful Gauntlet when he betrayed Diavolo and his companion Blackwidow in order to ally himself with the paladin Artos, killing diavolo and stopping him from gaining more power for himself.

While delving an ancient temple in Koris Ekteino, Drakthar touched a voidgem that took a part of his soul from him, this angered the locals, that imprisoned him after confirming he had touched the object,he was sent to prison and then the Pits of Ka in order to fight for his life.

During this fateful pits of Ka, Marchosias decided to overthrow the Ka's Manumission and used Drakthar as one of his agents of chaos, during the battle Drakthar perished and his soul got sucked into a voidgem and is currently stuck inside of it
