For the second time, a familiar presence slips into the heroes' rests. Faeywynn, the Whispering Willow
An ancient and beautiful Elf whose form is partially merged with a massive tree itself, her wood-grained skin and leaf-strewn hair radiate the serene magic of the Feywild. But tonight, her eyes carry a desperate weight.
"The roots of Douxel Vale weep," her voice echoes directly into your minds, soft as rustling leaves but heavy with panic. "A terrible melody creeps through the soil. An ancient evil temple of Gospodar the Skull, The Bone Lord has been discovered by Vexius's new Allies. The Rotbourne Choir. All though their numbers are small the power that they have is impressive. The roots and the wind carry their First Hymn. Those living that hear itwillingly lay down to die just to join the chorus. I am bound to my grove, but your spirits are free. Wake, heroes. Find the temple, and silence the Choir before the rest of Gildas joins their eternal song."
The Rotborne Choir is an unholy congregation that views life as a tragedy of hunger and suffering. To them, undeath is a beautiful, divine gift—a way to usher in a world entirely free of pain. Their followers are not mindless thralls; they are devoted, self-sustaining zealots who do not decay. And so long as the Choir sings, they will always rise again.
Now, a dark figure named Threvan, the First Cantor has gathered these deathless heralds in the long-abandoned Temple of Gospodar the Skull. The temple's ancient, skeletal architecture acts as a massive acoustic amplifier. If the First Hymn is completed within its walls, the tragic, enchanting melody will sweep across the island of Sylmeria, violently converting the desperate, the mourning, and the dying into the Choir’s ranks.
