GELCH TILGAST, MINE FOREMAN AND FACTOR, DEAD AT 47

The town of Diamond Lake marks the passing of Gelch Tilgast, a man long associated with the operations of several productive mines under the employ and direction of local interests, most notably those aligned with Master Balabar Smenk.

Tilgast was known to many as a capable—if exacting—overseer of labor and logistics, often entrusted with matters requiring discretion, resolve, and a steady hand. His efforts ensured the continued output of valuable resources that have sustained Diamond Lake’s standing as a center of industry within the region.

While not a man given to warmth, Tilgast’s presence was nonetheless felt in every cart that rolled, every contract honored, and every account settled—whether in coin or otherwise.

Authorities report that Mr. Tilgast was discovered deceased just beyond the eastern approach to town in the early hours of the morning. The circumstances surrounding his death are, at present, unclear. Officials have declined further comment pending inquiry.

He leaves behind no known family within Diamond Lake.
