While our adventurers have delayed the pig-faced Sarvasika orcs at Icebreaker Bridge just a few days ago, the visions of war consume the minds of the faithful of Saarivalkea. One group of adventurers has arrived at the river village of Korpivaara to bring the ill tidings and prepare for an evacuation further south to prepare for a full assault. While in the midst of a heated town council meeting considering the advice of the party, a dark haired woman, road weary, bolts in the door. She demands ale and an audience with the council. "I a Teyani Surri of the Lions of Pakkaheim. I ride in service of the Lords of Pakkaheim."

What does she want? What does she know?

The people of Korpivaara Ferry will soon begin their desperate evacuation eastward, wagons creaking through autumn rain. A rider has arrived — mud-splattered, exhausted, and wearing the golden lion of Pakkaheim upon her cloak.

She is Teyani Sura, a Lion of Pakkaheim — one of the Lords' elite soldiers. Her report is dire:

“Five days ago, my patrol rode north along the old Rhest Trail. We found a Sarvasika roadblock—orc warbands and ogres stopping all travel in and out of the vale. They’ve taken the high road at Dawnway Pass. My captain sent me south to warn the villages. If that pass isn’t cleared, the entire evacuation will be trapped behind it.”

The heroes are called to action once more.
With the Ashen Hand advancing from the north, the party must ride east to confront the blockade, outnumbered but not outmatched.
Whether by stealth, deception, or all-out battle, they must ensure the Dawnway remains open for the refugees of Saarivalkea — or burn it behind them to slow the horde’s pursuit.
