The Night of Shifting (Morlómë Fanoril)
THE RULES ARE OFF. THE MASKS ARE DOWN.
Hear the Vellum Conclave's decree: On the night of October 30th, the clock resets. For twelve hours, all standard laws—theft, murder, and mayhem—are completely suspended. This isn't just a holiday; it's a cleansing, a night where the Vale decides, with blood and claw, what is truly useful.
THE CHAOS MANDATE
- UNLEASHED POWER: If you are a shapeshifter, a lycanthrope, or carry any other secret form, you are forced to shift into your True Form at sunset. The Vale will be flooded with powerful, unleashed creatures driven by instinct. Survival depends on avoiding them, or hunting them.
- THE HIGH-STAKES TRADE: You can commit any crime imaginable, but your actions must yield utility. You can steal resources, capture enemies, or seize territory—but if your action is deemed pure waste (like destroying food stores or poisoning the Lumina), the Conclave's specialized executioners will descend on you immediately.
- YOUR CRIME, YOUR CURE: This is the only night where you can legally perform the most brutal or necessary actions—whether it's silencing a political rival, acquiring rare magic components, or forcing a transformation. The violence you commit is measured by the service it provides the Vale's future stability.
PREPARE FOR THE EXCEPTION.
Fortify your homes, sharpen your blades, and decide what resources you need most. When the sun goes down, the law disappears, and the True Forms walk. Make your violence count.
