Ferdinand was the "Head Bard" at the College of Bards, on the Isle of Bards. It was recently revealed that he was using a powerful artifact, the "Gnomish Harp of Gnomes", which has the power to charm all who can perceive its music, to achieve and maintain his lofty position.

The harp was stolen by an organized group of other bards and handed over to the Mage's Guild for safekeeping and further study.

Since his disgrace, there is now a power vacuum for the Head of the Bard's College. Several other troupes are vying for this coveted position.

The troupe known as "The Forsaken" is currently leading in the brackets.
