The Primil folk live in a heavily foliaged jungle, a verdant but dangerous place. Some of the Primil consider the absence of light something sacred, so much so that the darkness is treated as an entity itself.

Kivuli Shujaa is one of these Shadestriders, having been raised by the Primil community as a whole as many parents are lost to the predators and other threats of the jungle.

The Shadestriders go into the dangerous places for their people, which means that only the most capable can be made into a full fledged Shadewalker. Until then, Kivuli must take a journey to find a darkness he may entreat with.
