After PC introductions (including Background Questions) and making (or updating) Connections between PCs, I will try to offer improvised or tailored adventure threads to your PCs. Some potential tailorable threads are below:
The Trees Have Eyes: Some traders, hunters and gatherers between Ghee and Trust had complained of feeling watched on the road, roots growing over their tents at night, beasts absconding with their packs during the day, and sounds like the forest itself was howling at them... Now, after your favorite, most industrious hunter-gatherer-trader H.G.T. Vee The Third has gone missing from their caravan, last seen at the edges of a day's ride into the forest, you must ride fast and brave the darkening brambles to find them.
Port & Bell For Porta Bella: Esteemed bards from The Isle of Bards are coming to Ghee for the annual Port-drinking & Bell-ringing festival, and Porta Bella, the famous chef from the Smelly Mushroom, has been tasked last minute with preparing the feast (now that his competitor across the street is recovering from an accidental fire), but he is completely unprepared and needs your help! The bards are known to easily be displeased and get rowdy, ready to cut with words or cutlass at the slightest slight. Can you help serve in style and sauce to keep the peace, or at least a piece of this time-honored tradition?
A Murder Most Fowl: You have been hired forthwith to solve the murder of a young Thomas Smith whose body was found late last night on Criewood Isle--a small, close nit fishing community not too far off the coast. No one outside the community has come or gone to the island for months, and Mayor Eldra fears a locally-run investigation would not remain impartial. No other boats shall come in or out until the murder is solved, though tension will mount with the fisherfolk. Can you solve Thomas's brutal murder before the situation worsens or the murderer gets away?
Making Fiends at School: (Ginny Di module) The party is answering a peculiar urgent want ad when they first meet Wisteria Appledackle, although they don’t know that’s who they’ll be meeting. The writer of the ad was extremely secretive, like she was afraid someone would identify her from it. All the adventurers know is that she’ll meet them in the back corner of Ghee's local apothecary, The Crafty Vial, by the herbal potion making stock. A student at Krumbridge Academy, the local fancy-shmancy magic school, Wisteria seems to have summoned something unexpected, and is willing to pay you handsomely for your swift and silent handling of it.
You're Not Green Anymore: A great tragedy has befallen the Village of Ecosia, due south of The City of Ghee; scores of lumberjacks have been beset by some great monster and cut down, now either in the hôtel-Dieu, or being put in the ground. The town, not only aggrieved, but highly dependent upon the lumber industry, have scrounged up a substantial reward for the tracking and removal of whatever beast accomplished this before it strikes again.
NOTE: I will ask players to take on and share notetaking duties. I will post suggested structure in the Didscord.
