Last session the portable bridge carried by the members of Bridge 9 was broken, hauled into the chasms by a Chasmfiend. The Thrill ended up costing Capt Selinar his life, and the party was able to escape the injured greatshell by slipping through the cracks in a rockfall partially blocking the chasm.
The party found their way to the ruins, and were able to navigate their way to the top of the plateau in which the ruins are encased. On their way, they discovered the remains of a couple of Kohlin soldiers and a bridgman. Searching these bodies yielded a finely carved knife(bridgeman), a glyphward embroidered on a strip of cloth(soldier #1), a carved wooden axehound figurine(soldier #2) and 120 mk in assorted spheres.
While ascending the ruins, the party also discovered a statue and a mosaic honoring a female Knight Radiant, a Soulcaster, an amethyst cut in a strange twisted pattern, as well as two more gems, worth 40 mk each.
We left off with the party having discovered that there were Parshendi on the plateau above, guarding one of the two top-side exits from the ruins. The Listeners are unaware of the party's presence.
It is still before midday. The party must figure out how to deal with the Parshendi atop the plateau and make their way back to the warcamps as soon as possible. The longer they stay out here, the more likely they are to be caught in a highstorm, which would likely prove fatal for all involved.
Unanswered questions:
1. What to do with the soulcaster?
2. Do we let the three bridgemen traveling with us "escape"?
2a. if so, how do we convince Matal to keep silent about it?
3. The items found on the corpses in the chasms seem distinct. Does the party want to try to track down next of kin and return these items?
