The accepted regulatory body for cutting-edge magic and arcane standards. New spells and enchantments have to be licensed through them. They often overstep, claiming to run and regulate more than they do. Leadership believes they should be running all magical practices out of a sincere concern for the laws of reality. The guild attracts those of wizardly and paladin instincts.
A society that attracts summoners, sentinels, and warlocks that protect a mysterious extra-dimensional prison that houses trapped demons, elementals and fey. They apparently have yet to capture entities of dream or conceptual realms, but that is not for the lack of trying. Initially, they're goals were altruistic, to stop powerful beings from harming the world, but over time, they discovered they could harness the power of the entities they trapped. They use it to dominate certain industries with near limitless access to power to run their engines, giving them the largest and fastest fleet.
A group of flying craftmasters, their giant ship hosting all kinds of crafters, they usually roam around the continent offering their services for coins. Their ship is their prized possession, hours and hours of toiling to update, upgrade, and expand its size and efficiency.
The Empire has fallen, but it can be restored - or so The Imperial Core believes. Representing many of the remaining noble houses and loyalists, they push Bastion to reclaim lost imperial sites and technologies. As The Imperial Core deeply regrets the fall of the Empire, they are willing to pay a large price to achieve their goal. A reason for some to call them arrogant.
Bastion’s primary guardians. The Lightkeepers serve as the city’s protectors by patrolling the streets and maintaining defensive magitech, such as the arcane turrets and warding pylons. They are disciplined and try to stay above guild rivalry, focusing on keeping citizens safe by blending martial training with practical tools.
The most organized criminal network, which manages to evade excessive guild regulations while remaining an open secret. The guild is fracturing over whether to accept contract killing jobs or stick to underhanded deals. It has no seat on the council, but somehow still manages to further its agenda.
