Appearance

A man in his mid-twenties with a lean, muscular build honed by years of harsh labor and conflict. His sun-kissed skin is marked by scars earned across the lands. His gear is as worn and ramshackle as he is with nicks and dents scattered across his weapons and armor.

Backstory

Hitch grew up following the man he considered his father across the lands. He remembered him as a pious and righteous man who sought to help and defend those who could not do so themselves. He recalled how his father had taught him to defend himself and how to live a virtuous life, how he prayed before every fight and how he seemed to detest taking any life.

Most of all, he recalled how he died: how his father gave his life defending him. Ambushed by Bloom-blighted monsters, the two of them fought the creatures off but took wounds in the process, his father's proving fatal. He buried him in the wild, taking only what remained of his father's weapon.

Many years had passed, and Hitch tried his best to live up to the standards his father had tried to pass on to him, traveling the lands, helping those who needed it most. Eventually, he ended up at Bastion, drawn by tales of a guild that sought to do just that.
