Sanya was born in Rahadoum while her parents were visiting it. Her parents are originally from Eserowaan. They traveled to Rahadoum to do research. Despite her birth, her parents continued their research. While growing up there, she learned how to use medicines. She even learned about religions from her parents despite religion being banned in the area.
When she became old enough to learn more, her parents guided her to their city of origin, Eserowaan. On the way there, they encountered a Summoner from Katapesh. Sanya became fascinated with this Summoner's abilities. Her name was Kantika, a Vudrani human. When Kantika showed interest in taking Sanya as an apprentice, her parents agreed. From there, Sanya traveled with Kantika, learning how to be a summoner along with some other skills. She found her Eidolon, Bastenu.
Once Sanya felt ready enough, she parted ways with Kantika to journey to Absalom. She felt overwhelmed with all the options to explore. She hopes the Guild will help her find direction.
