Unit AN4-S31A was a Maintenance and Abstergence Intelligence Droid (or M.A.I.D) that was abandoned by her master after their convoy was attacked during a trek through dangerous woodland.

The forest found her empty shell, and grew new life inside it. And with this new life, came a renewed purpose: to rid the forests of the Wound that was corrupting it.
