We begin our story by learning of two farming families entangled in a long-running, bloody feud over spell scrolls, land disputes, magical herd beasts, and most importantly - biscuit recipes. The Leavenmakers and the Scratchens have been fighting and feuding for as long as anyone can remember, but both sides have different tall tales of what disagreement between what family members started the whole mess.
Fortunately for Thistlebella (PC), she was born into the much more brave, kind, hardworking, and clever family - the Leavenmakers. Though if you ask her current arch nemesis and former childhood crush Theodore Scratchen, it's quite unfortunate that she was born into a family of stubborn, egotistical, brash, and narrowminded dwarves.
Thistlebella has recently left home with a precious item in tow. Her family's precious recipe book (which contains secret family recipes for both spells and meals). As a young wizard, Thistlebella is determined to adventure on her own to earn enough money to fund her many recipe ideas, as well as find and learn from fabled recipe books. Her ultimate goal is to craft recipes amazing enough that they are deemed worthy to be written in her family's recipe book.
And if she has to fight a few Scratchens along the way to secure those funds and recipes, well - Mama didn't raise a lady to start fights, but Mama did teach her how to end them.
Physical description:
Thistlebella is a strong dwarven woman with muscles toned from kneeding many loaves of bread in the kitchen. She typically wears her thick hair in a braid and has a simple dress and simple leather armor often speckled with flour or other herbs. She usually carries a very small basket with some freshly made snacks, usually biscuits or cookies, and carries herbs and spell components in small jars along her waist.
S'Mores - her shy fire snake companion - usually rests nestled in her hair or around her neck, providing gentle warmth. His tongue can frequently be seen flicking out to taste the air around him - on alert for Scratchens. Unlike Thistlebella, S'Mores still holds a deep fondness for Theodore - who is the only person S'Mores lets hold him besides Thistlebella.
