In his natural form, Miasmus ain't much to look at-- just some yellow and orange goo. He's a Fungril from a clan of slime molds, and without the scaffolding of bones he takes from the dead, that's all he'd be. Old Phyto uses the bones and the memories they hold to take the forms of animals, but it's also the only way he can maintain a 'humanoid' shape. And even then, he ain't too pretty. The form most of the locals think of as "him" is a skeleton riddled with fungi, vines, leaves, and moss. He wears a long leather duster (his leather armor) and wide-brimmed hat, both of which are also partly manufactured from the dead. Adding to his unsettling appearance (and setting him apart from 'standard' undead skeletons) are his very alive and alert eyes and the expressiveness of his.... face-bones.

In the town of Dirtwater, he is equal parts lawman and preacher. He uses his druidic knowledge and healing abilities to help the town in tough times. He uses his Fungril connection to the dead to give the bereaved some closure. And when it's called for, he uses it to find the causes of suspicious deaths, and bring those who threaten his town to justice.
