A foul-mouthed contrarian, eager to prove anything and anyone wrong about everything. Also, a genetic descendant of Baphomet themselves. God help us all.
Appearance: androgynous (actually intersex and bigender, but that's their own business), skin mottled with vitilego. (In their human guise, anyways. In their true form, it's just plain-old mottled.) Long, hip-length dreadlocks, tied with a large yin-yang patterned bead. Grungy thrifted clothing, refuses to wear a costume out of principle. Also, some sort of goat-like demigod. Keep it on the down-low.
Mitou was... an experiment. A very successful one, actually! Through their complete mastery of The Divine Alchemy, Baphomet created Mitou with nothing but their own trimmed hair, and a hyper-complex series of reactions far too advanced for a mortal to even begin replicating. To their credit, despite creating new life on a literal whim, they treated Mitou like their own child. Potentially, to an extreme. Frankly, Mitou was smothered.
Baphomet is a balancing force. They reconcile opposites, merging extremes into united wholes. Dialectics as an entity - thesis, antithesis, synthesis. Mitou, too, inherited this disposition towards "balance", but in a different way. For matter, there must be void, for heat there must be cold; and for love, hate. And so, there was a growing sense of resentment, and a Mitou that resented that resentment. Baphomet said they understood - "We all need some time to ourselves, dear," "I'll be sure to keep in touch," "I hear Earth's Tropic of Capricorn is lovely this time of year," that kind of thing. Mitou didn't understand how they were feeling, themselves - it almost felt like an insult that Baphomet claimed to.
And so, Mitou exiled themselves to Earth at 18... to the Bronx. Their research had determined that this was the "realest" place in the known universe. None of that sappy, sentimental stuff, this is where the HARD LIFE happened, baby! And DAMN was it hard. Turns out that spontaneously popping onto Earth with no educational history besides homeschooling gives you pretty bad job prospects. (I mean, homeschooling by an OMNISCIENT FORCE OF THE UNIVERSE seems like it should give you a pass, right?!) Mitou is a demigod working a minimum-wage job at Hot Topic, who goes home to a ratty-ass apartment, and they LOVE it.
...Okay, yeah, they need a real job, this shit ain't working right. Not a lot of colleges that take divine mandate as proof of education, but beggars can't be choosers. Time to move. Again. Ah, see, that inconvenience right there is why they love Earth.
Most view Halcyon City as the birthplace of heroism, and one of the greatest cities of the East Coast. Mitou views Halcyon city as "the birthplace of thousands of vainglorious asshats who are desperate to control the narrative at every possible moment". Despite their reservations, Eclipse is Mitou's best bet at making something of their life on Earth, and proving... SOMETHING to Baphomet. Maybe they want attention, and are desperate for any form of notoriety. Maybe they're trying to create evidence that they hadn't made a colossal fuckup by their own choice. It could be a lot of things, but you sure as hell aren't getting a straight answer from their mouth.
