The city continues down through the mesa via the Maw Highway, a twelve-mile tunnel which corkscrews from the surface of Luma to the farmlands below.
The Upper Loop begins at the Maw in Crystal's Edge and passes through the districts of Dasmach Depths, Crystal Burrow, and Crawlers Fall, where the chisels of dwarven artisans have greatly expanded the natural caves.
The Lower Loop begins where Crawlers Fall ends and continues down to the Depot, a large, open cavern at the mesa's base where goods from the farmlands are gathered to ascend via highway or elevator.

The largest of the underground districts, Dasmach is filled with caverns, craters, and crystals of all kinds. The extensive cave network has been carved out into businesses, residences, and storage, but it retains much of its natural charm. Luma's main hospital and government buildings are located here.
This magnificently open underground space features buildings which have been wholly constructed deep underground, the most impressive being the Pavilion Theatre. Given its vast, open area, most of the residences here are houses rather than apartments. The streets are long and spread out, and blue and red crystals dot the grassy hills. Despite being underground, the Burrow provides a greater sense of space than the surface districts of Luma. The Echo Chamber is accessible through here, situated at the edge of the Burrow, in the very heart of the mesa.
The main structures of Crawlers Fall are huge, purple and green crystal trees with podlike, circular buildings that float among the "branches". Residents and visitors are advised to take care when exiting and entering, as buildings may have shifted during flight. Teleporters provide direct access to Gardners Pass.
