Bonk was born in the heart of the forest, the son of a scout devoted to Selûne. His mother had little time for him, spending most of her days hunting and patrolling the borders. However, Bonk was never truly alone: his mother had an animal companion—a young elk that Bonk played with and named Waffles.

To Bonk, Waffles was more than just an animal; he was his only true friend. While his mother corrected him with a firm and harsh hand, Waffles followed him in his games, looked after him, and listened to him. In his perpetual innocence, Bonk believed the elk truly understood him.

Everything changed when a warband of orcs, followers of the god Gruumsh, razed their village. They killed his mother before his eyes, and Waffles, attempting to protect him, was pierced by spears and died in his arms. Bonk still remembers the sound of the orcs laughing while everything he loved was reduced to blood and ash.

That day, something inside him snapped. His grief and hatred caught the attention of The Raven Queen, who saw him as a perfect instrument for her cause. She whispered to him: "Swear your vengeance, take my power, and your pain shall become justice." Bonk accepted. Thus, he became a Paladin.

Since then, Bonk carries an unquenchable fire: to destroy all orcs who serve Gruumsh. He does not hate all orcs indiscriminately, but when he sees the marks of Gruumsh, he cannot contain his fury.
